Built Environment and Infastructure Specialist, Forum for the Future
My formative professional career was spent in environmental engineering and consultancy. After four years, I realised I wanted to move on from crawling around condemned Victorian buildings looking for asbestos, or conducting site investigations on various snow-bound contaminated land sites! Taking on a project management and research role with CIRIA, I oversaw the growth of a number of knowledge sharing networks and the creation of numerous sector guides on sustainable design and construction. During this time I regularly came into contact with Forum’s Masters Graduates and was blown away by their knowledge, commitment and leadership within what was a very conservative industry. I still believe Forum’s work with the leaders of tomorrow is one of its greatest contributions.
