Internship Scheme

The London Students Towards Sustainability (LSTS) internship scheme helps harness the skills and enthusiasm of the next generation of sustainability professionals by providing links to employers across the public, private and NGO sectors.

The matchmaking project offers employers a selection of high calibre students from diverse academic backgrounds including Environmental Sustainability, Engineering, IT and Finance. The LSTS Internship Scheme offers a range of exciting opportunities for students who want to work in the sustainability sector.  This year more than 40 employers expressed interest in hosting interns.  Over 200 students applied and their CVs matched to appropriate vacancies.

In 2007 London Sustainability Exchange (LSx) placed more than a dozen London students in placements with employers in the sustainability sector. LSx will evaluate the qualifications, experience and interests of applicants based on submission of a standard application form. We will then 'match' candidates based on their skills to job descriptions and skills requirements provided by organisations and inform potential employers of suitable candidates. Employers can then correspond directly with the student/s to interview candidates and organise the internship.
